Veterans of Foreign Wars - Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest
CONGRATULATIONS to the Edwardsburg Middle School winners of the Veterans of Foreign Wars annual Patriot’s Pen essay contest!
On Veteran’s Day, we honor those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom. The V.F.W. Auxiliary, 2284 Branch of Edwardsburg, understands the importance of establishing programs designed for young people in communities that honor Veterans. One example is by holding an annual essay contest and making a selection of the top essays. This year’s Patriot’s Pen essay theme was, “How Can I Be A Good American?” The following students in both seventh and eighth grade were selected as winners. Due to the number of entries, two first-place winners were selected.
3rd Place: Isabella King
2nd Place: Alaina Lindgren
1st Place: Jordyn Stuck and Sophiah Kuntz
The first place essays have advanced to the District level. Good job and thank you Eddies for supporting your local veterans and showing pride in your writing! #VeteransDay #ProudToBeAnEddie!
