Hello, my name is Nichole Dohm and I teach 7th and 8th Grade Science this year. I am very excited to be starting a new school year. This will be my 15th year teaching for the district. I previously taught 12 years in the Multiage program at Eagle Lake Elementary School.
I have a Masters degree in Teaching from Andrews University and a Bachelors degree in Biology from Western Michigan University. I have worked previously for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, and the Federal Department of Agriculture. While in college I interned at Sarett Nature Center in Benton Harbor and volunteered at Kalamazoo Nature Center.
I grew up here in Michigan and enjoy spending time on the Michigan coast. My family and I were so fortunate this summer to travel to my favorite place, the ocean! We saw dolphins, jellyfish and nesting sea turtles. It was like having science class on the beach! You will find out that I have a huge interest in coastal sea life, in particular sea turtles. I can’t wait to spend this year exploring your interest in science.
